StraCon ISDs Win 2019 Admiral Luis de Florez Training and Simulation Award
StraCon’s members Rachel Yenter, Rachel Vargas, and Tanya Rezak, Instructional Systems Designers that support the Ready Relevant Learning (RRL) Team for the Sailor 2025 (S2025) Program at NAWCTSD, Orlando have been awarded the 2019 Admiral Luis de Florez Training and Simulation Award. Each year, this competitive award is presented to one team for their exceptional accomplishments related to Training Systems developed or acquired through NAWCTSD.
The RRL team’s highlighted achievements include the successful Operations Specialist Accelerated Delivery (OSAD) pilot, award of the program’s first Content Conversion contract, and the award of two sole source contracts to Alaska Native Corporations, all with tight time constraints and high-level visibility.
S2025 focuses on three core pillars: Personnel System Modernization, Ready Relevant Learning, and Career Readiness. Theses core pillars are focused on updating policies, procedures, and operating systems while providing the proper level of training at the appropriate time in a Sailors career. S2025 empowers sailors to have more control and flexibility over their careers. GREAT JOB Rachel V, Tanya R and Rachel Y! Keep up the great work, we are all very proud of your accomplishments!
